At the press conference announcing the full card for Mayu Iwatani’s 15th Anniversary Show – ICON FOREVER – on the 20th January, came the announcement that Marigold would be introducing trios titles. These titles – known as the 3D Trios Championships, which is short for ‘Dream, Diamond, Destiny’ – would be given to the winners of a tournament that began at ICON Forever.

Natsumi Showzuki, Mai Sakurai and Erina Yamanaka became the first team through to the semi-finals by defeating the team of Miku Aono, Kouki Amarei and Megaton inside Korakuen Hall on January 24th and, with Marigold today releasing the full brackets for the championship tournament, we now know that they will face either the team of Shoko Koshino, Seri Yamaoka and Yuuka Yamazaki, or the trio of Hummingbird, Nao Ishikawa and Nagisa Tachibana on the 15th February at the 176BOX Osaka. The aforementioned first round match between Seri Yamaoka’s team and Hummingbird’s team will take place at the 30th January Shinjuku FACE show.

The remaining first round matches will see the trio of Utami Hayashishita, Chika Goto and Chanyota face Darkness Revolution (Rea Seto, Misa Matsui and Nagisa Nozaki) and the team of Mayu Iwatani, Victoria Yuzuki and Komomo Minami squaring off with the as-of-yet-unnamed foreign team on the 7th February at the Esporta Arena in Hacihoji. The winners of those two matches will then face off in a second semi-final on the 13th February in Shinjuku FACE.

The finals of the tournament will take place at Marigold’s next Korakuen Hall event on the 23rd February, with the action being LIVE on WRESTLE-UNIVERSE complete with English commentary.
