MARIGOLD NEWS: Marigold Introduce New Trios Belts; Tournament Announced to Crown Inaugural Champions

At today’s press conference to confirm the full card for Mayu Iwatani’s 15th Anniversary show at Korakuen Hall on January 24th, Marigold made the surprise announcement that they will be introducing trios belts.

Officially called the ‘Dream, Diamond & Destiny’ Championships, or 3D Trios Championships for short, a tournament will be held to crown the first champions, with the full field of teams being as follows;

  • Darkness Revolution (Nagisa Nozaki, Misa Matsui & Rea Seto)
  • Miku Aono, Kouki Amarei & Megaton
  • Mayu Iwatani, Victoria Yuzuki & Komomo Minami
  • Utami Hayashishita, Chika Goto & Chanyota
  • Mai Sakurai, Natsumi Showzuki & Erina Yamanaka
  • Seri Yamaoka, Yuuka Yamazaki & Shoko Koshino
  • Nao Ishikawa, Hummingbird & Nagisa Tachibana
  • Foreign Team

The matches start at Mayu’s 15th Anniversary show on January 24th, with Miku Aono, Kouki Amarei and Megaton battling Mai Sakurai, Natsumi Showzuki and Erina Yamanaka, with other first round match-ups happening across the ongoing New Year’s Golden Garden tour. The semi-finals are confirmed for the February 15th show in Osaka, with the finals happening at the February 24th Korakuen Hall show.
