For weeks, Stardom have been teasing the debut of a new roster member through a number of vignettes depicting a streamer sitting in front of screens and surrounded by empty cans of energy drink.
The mystery person was revealed at Stardom’s Korakuen Hall show today to be former-TJPW wrestler Maki Itoh, who has officially signed a contract to become a full-time member of the roster.
A former two-time International Princess and Princess Tag Team champion in TJPW, the Fired Idol announced in August of last year that she had left the company after her contract expired. However, she had been focusing more on freelance work before then, appearing semi-regularly in American independent promotion GCW.
She will begin her tenure with Stardom by teaming with Saori Anou against Sayakurura on the January 11th Korakuen Hall show.
