What do I Need to Know?

  • 20th World of Stardom Champion Saya Kamitani has been champion for 405 days – in her first reign. This will be the ninth title defence of her reign.
  • A win for Saya Kamitani would take her to nine successful title defences, and would see her move to joint third for defences of the Red Belt in a single reign – level with her former AphroditE partner Utami Hayashishita – and sitting behind Io Shirai and Syuri on 10, and the 14 defences set by Io through 2015 to 2017.
  • The current singles record between Saya Kamitani and Starlight Kid sits at 4-1 in Kamitani’s favour, with Kid’s only victory coming during the 2022 5Star Grand Prix. Kamitani also won in their last singles outing, in the play-offs of the 2024 5Star Grand Prix.
  • This will be Saya Kamitani’s first singles match of 2026. Her 2025 singles record in Stardom sat at is 18-2-0, while her overall Stardom singles record is 73-36-12.
  • This will be Starlight Kid’s first singles match of 2026. Her 2025 singles record in Stardom sat at is 10-3-2, while her overall Stardom singles record is 71-66-19.
  • This will be Starlight Kid’s first attempt at the World of Stardom Championship.
  • Kid spoke of her frustration with her performances against Kamitani, but also about the fact that she views the World of Stardom Champion as a driving and motivating factor for her. The following is a transcript courtesy of @merawrestling on Twitter; “I’ve been shown so much jealousy and frustration by Kamitani. I’ve been conscious of Kamitani ever since my first loss to her in 2020. Even when I held the Wonder of STARDOM belt, and even now, I’ve been told various things and been tossed around quite a bit… but she’s also been a driving force for me in many ways.” She would also go on to say about how her Kokko Kyakusatsu was developed solely for her Wonder of Stardom match against Kamitani back in 2022, while she was the first to be hit with Kamitani’s Star Crusher.
  • 25th Wonder of Stardom Champion Konami has been champion for 96 days – in her first reign. This will be the third title defence of her reign.
  • This will be the first singles match to happen between Konami and Ami Sourei, with it also being Ami’s third attempt at the belt – having previously been unsuccessful against Saya Kamitani in 2023, and Saori Anou in 2024.
  • Konami’s 2026 singles record sits 1-0 after defeating Rina for the White Belt on the 21st January. Her 2025 singles record in Stardom sat at is 5-6-0, while her overall Stardom singles record is 59-58-9.
  • This will be Ami Sourei’s first singles match of 2026. Her 2025 singles record in Stardom sat at is 35-23-4, while her overall Stardom singles record is 73-36-12.
  • Konami repeatedly needled Ami Sourei about being in a unit – God’s Eye – where the only person of any real substance was Syuri. Meanwhile, Ami questioned Konami’s ability to win without the spray-paint and the H.A.T.E shenanigans.
  • 36th Goddesses of Stardom Champions BMI2000 (Natsuko Tora (2) & Ruaka (1)) have been champions for 198 days – in their first reign. This will be the fifth title defence of their reign.
  • A victory for the champions would see them become only the second team since 2019 – 21 champions ago – to make it to five successful title defences. The other being the previous champions Winggori. This would put the champions joint fourth in the all-time list for successful defences of the Goddesses of Stardom Championships with only Queen’s Quest (6), Oedo Tai (8) and Thunder Rock (11) above them.
  • Saki Kashima announced that she will be retiring from professional wrestling on the 27th April at All-Star Grand Queendom 2026 in Yokohama Arena.
  • At the time of writing, Kashima is the sixth most-tenured wrestler in the company’s history, having wrestled 723 matches. Only Hazuki, Momo Watanabe, AZM and Starlight Kid on the active roster have wrestled more matches.
  • Saki Kashima’s all-time singles record is 59-81-5, while her 2025 singles record sat at 1-2-0.
  • The current singles record between Syuri and Saki Kashima is 3-2-0 in Syuri’s favour, with Saki actually winning their last match during the 2023 Cinderella Tournament.
  • Saki and Syuri have teamed together since 2023 as a part of God’s Eye, and as a tag team under the name Anecon, progressing to the play-offs during this year’s Goddesses of Stardom Tag League, but were forced to withdraw due to an injury to Saki.
  • Aya Sakura and Maki Itoh are competing for the right to be known as the ‘cutest in the world’, with this being Maki Itoh’s catchphrase, and Aya taking offence on behalf of her mentor Tam Nakano – who also referred to herself as such.
  • This match will mark Maki Itoh’s first singles match for the promotion. Such is her confidence that she will win, Itoh has said that – should she lose – she will leave the company, despite only having debuted earlier this month.
  • Aya Sakura’s singles record for Stardom is 5-37-4, with three of her five victories coming in 2025.
  • Following the Stardom Award show in Takadanobaba on January 25th, Rina took issue with Fuwa-chan for ‘half-assing’ her run in Stardom, and basically picking and choosing what dates she does. More recently, Rina has been trying to tempt Fuwa-chan subtly towards joining H.A.T.E.
  • This will be Fuwa-chan’s fifth match since she announced she would be joining Stardom, and her second singles outing ever, having lost to Hazuki at Dream Queendom 2025 on December 29th.
  • The official rules for the EXV vs. Mi Vida Loca unit battle are as follows. Though initially a 5-on-5 match, the knee injury to Bozilla has subsequently forced Mi Vida Loca to contend the match under a 4-on-5 handicap. The match itself will take place under elimination rules in the form of a series of 10-minute singles matches, with whoever wins the match staying on for the next match while the loser is eliminated. Draws or double eliminations will result in both members of the match being eliminated, with eliminations occurring through pinfall, submission, over the top rope, countout and disqualification.
  • This will be Stardom’s 10th show in the EDION Arena Osaka, their first since Historic X-Over II (3,457 on the 17th November 2024) and their first sole-promoted show at the venue since Namba Grand Fight (1,407 on the 14th September 2024). The highest sole-promoted attendance the company has drawn to EDION Arena Osaka was 1,832 to 2023’s Supreme Fight in Osaka, while their lowest remains the 1,027 they drew to Osaka Dream Cinderella in December 2020. Their average at the venue sits at 1,651, while their average for events solely-promoted by Stardom is 1,414.
